PLYMOUTH CHARTER TOWNSHIP
"People Our Priority"

Plymouth Township continues to be one of Wayne County’s most vibrant, prosperous communities. It surrounds the City of Plymouth and spreads westward to Washtenaw County. The township has a population of 23,686 residents in an area of 15.9 square miles.

There are multiple recreational opportunities and parks within the township.  Plymouth Township Park has ball diamonds, a playscape, water playground and sledding hill.  This park is home to the annual "Good Old Fashion Fourth of July Picnic" and in recent years a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks display.  Lake Pointe Soccer Park has two soccer fields, a walking path, a covered pavilion with restrooms and a child's play area. The Plymouth Community boasts many excellent art and cultural programs offered by the Plymouth Community Arts Council, Plymouth Canton Symphony, BeckRidge Chorale and Community Band.  The Plymouth District Library offers many programs for all ages.

The Downtown Development Authority is working to make the business corridors even more attractive and expand the business district.  The Plymouth area is close to I-96, I-275, and M-14, making it easily accessible to Ann Arbor, Detroit and Metro Airport.

Both Money Magazine and Relocate America list Plymouth Township as a Top 100 Best Place to Live in America.
