Plymouth Township continues to be one of Wayne County’s most vibrant, prosperous communities. It surrounds the City of Plymouth and spreads westward to Washtenaw County. The township has a population of 23,686 residents in an area of 15.9 square miles.

The Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce serves both the city and the township, and arranges many of the community events in the area. Plymouth offers residents and visitors cultural and leisure activities such as Art in the Park, Music in the Park, a Symphony Orchestra, the International Ice Sculpture Spectacular and various antique and craft festivals.

The Plymouth area is close to I-96, I-275, and M-14, making it easily accessible to Ann Arbor, Detroit and Metro Airport.
