CITY OF PLYMOUTH "Family Oriented with a Charming Downtown" The City of Plymouth, founded in 1825, is one of the oldest communities in Michigan. With a population of nearly 10,000, Plymouth has a very active citizenship. The Beautification Committee, Downtown Development Authority, and Economic Development Corporation are among the many appointed boards and commissions in the City of Plymouth made up of qualified residents. The City of Plymouth has a vibrant downtown with a variety of shops and restaurants that surround a beautiful park. The City of Plymouth also has a very active recreation program that offers more than fifty recreation programs for all age groups, an NHL-size ice arena and twelve parks. The City also organizes major community events such as the always popular Fall Festival, Ice Sculpture Spectacular and Art in the Park. The City of Plymouth has so much to offer including something for everyone to enjoy!
