The City of Inkster is in transition. It is initiating and completing many projects that will make Inkster an attractive community in which to live. With the help of residents, business owners, community groups and the city, Inkster is experiencing improved vitality and quality of life.

Inkster's parks and recreation department has worked hard with community volunteers and organizations to provide the services and facilities that are most in demand. All ten parks located in the city have had major playground improvements in the last few years.

Inkster provides a wide range of services for its seniors. These include transportation to medical facilities and points of interest; in-home services; outreach and food delivery.

Inkster is working to attract new construction, business and homes to raise its tax base and provide a safe attractive environment for families to raise and educate their children.
