CITY OF BELLEVILLE
"Quality living since 1905"

The City of Belleville is the main business district in the tri-community area made up of Belleville, Sumpter Township and Van Buren Township. These communities share a library and a museum that celebrates the area's history. The Belleville Chamber of Commerce serves the entire tri-county area, and sponsors events throughout the year.

Belleville was originally a part of Van Buren Township, but became a village in 1905, and then a city in 1946. It has a population of 3,270. For the last 20 years, the city has hosted the annual National Strawberry Festival that draws more than 100,000 people to Belleville during Father's Day weekend in June.

Belleville offers a host of recreational activities, including two parks and is located close to I-94, I-275 and Metro Airport.
